Heather Davis
Horses have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. As a third-generation horsewoman, I was raised with a deep appreciation for horsemanship, dedication, and the partnership between horse and rider.
I began showing Arabian and Half-Arabian horses at the age of nine and had the privilege of learning under the guidance of several National Champion horsemen throughout my youth and amateur career. Those experiences laid the foundation for the trainer I am today and instilled a lifelong commitment to continuous learning.
In 2003, I made the transition to the professional ranks, training and coaching until 2011. During that time, I developed horses and riders with an emphasis on communication, confidence, and a strong foundation for long-term success.
Although I stepped away from professional training, I never stepped away from the industry. Over the next fifteen years, I continued training and exhibiting my own horses as an accomplished amateur, gaining valuable perspective from both sides of the arena. Those years reinforced my belief that great horsemanship is built on patience, consistency, and understanding the individual horse.
In 2026, I made the decision to return to professional training with a renewed passion and an even deeper appreciation for the journey. Today, Heather Davis Performance Horses is dedicated to helping horses and riders build lasting partnerships through thoughtful, individualized training rooted in trust, communication, and correct fundamentals.
Whether your goal is to develop a young prospect, refine a seasoned show horse, or strengthen the connection with your equine partner, my commitment is to help every horse and rider reach their full potential—both in and out of the show pen.
